Joel's Quick Visit

A new publication was released at our recent convention (see next post) aimed at helping young people withstand the world's pressures and temptations.

Do you recognize anyone on page 288?

Joel's picture was taken and used in the above illustration. We teased him a little about being choosen for an illustation involving a straight jacket! Joel said he was in the straight jacket for over an hour before they were ready to take his picture and that it was pretty uncomfortable. I really like the comparison used in the illustration.

My Mom with three of Joel's friends--Skylar, Bronson & Dave

Joel made a quick visit home last week and brought three of his friends along for the fly. They got in about midnight Tuesday night and left around 4am Monday morning. Basically they were here for five days. They met one of Joel's friends on Wednesday and spent the day on his boat at Clinton Lake. Thursday we had planned a large BBQ which ended up mostly being rained out (see video below). Friday, Saturday and Sunday were spent at the convention and eating out each evening.
We had about 40 brats and hotdogs left over from the failed BBQ. It got to the point every time I handed Wiley a hotdog he would get a look of disgust on his face. He finally ate the last one today.
