The Mediation Room

I am now a court approved mediator and have conducted my first two mediations (I participated in other mediations while in training). My co-worker, Marcia, assists me with setting up the mediations and handles most of the paperwork. We worked hard on turning this old store room into our "Mediation Center". I think we make a pretty good team.

At this time, I still work primarily as a "Special Agent" and conduct investigations in addition to the mediations. Currently, I am scheduled to do about one mediation a week and each mediation takes approximately 2 hours. It is mine and Marcia's hope the Mediation Program will continue to grow.

I am headed back to Johnson County Community College for more advanced mediation training next month. I have completed my "Core" classes and now am working on getting a "Civil Mediation" certificate.
